Frequently asked questions
Everything people usually ask before (and after) copying their first prompt.
Is Promptazo free?
Yes, always. Copying and downloading the prompt are never blocked. The site is supported by discreet ads that never cover any button.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no login and no required email. Open the page, answer and copy.
What happens to what I type in the form?
It stays in your browser. We save it in local storage (localStorage) only so you don’t lose your draft if you reload the page. It is never sent to any server. To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and never sees what you type. Clear it with the “Start over” button or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Should I pick Claude Code or Claude chat?
Claude Code works on your computer: it creates files, uses git, tests the presentation in a browser and can publish it on Netlify. It’s the most powerful option. Claude chat (including the free claude.ai plan) needs no installation: it delivers a single HTML file, in parts if it’s long. If you’ve never used a terminal, start with chat.
Does it work with ChatGPT, Gemini or another AI?
The prompts are written and tested for Claude. The chat version usually works in other assistants, but we don’t guarantee it: every model follows instructions its own way.
What does the “Let the AI decide” button do?
It tells the AI to choose that aspect for you (for example, the palette or the typefaces) and to justify its choice in one line. All those fields are grouped into a single line of the prompt to avoid wasting tokens.
What does ⟦PENDING DATA⟧ mean?
It’s a marker for real data the AI can’t invent, such as your professor’s name or a figure. Instead of making it up, the AI leaves the marker visible in the presentation and tells you so you can fill it in.
What’s the difference between quick and full mode?
Quick mode asks only for the essentials (title, topic, presenter, length, style…) and leaves the rest to the AI. Full mode shows every field: audience, palette, citations, 3D scenes, size budget and more. You can switch modes at any time without losing what you wrote.
Why does the prompt ask to work in phases?
So you review the plan and the visual direction before the AI writes hundreds of lines. Fixing the course in phase 1 costs one sentence; fixing it at the end means redoing everything.
How many tokens does the prompt use?
Usually between 1,300 and 1,800 tokens, depending on what you fill in. The preview counter is an estimate (characters ÷ 4). On Claude’s free plan long answers can get cut off: that’s why the chat prompt tells the AI to continue when you type “continue”.
Can I edit the prompt before using it?
Of course. Download it as .md, open it in any text editor and change whatever you want. Or copy it and edit it right in the chat before sending.
Will there be more templates?
Yes. The site is built so new templates (CV, code, essays…) can be added without changing anything that already works. If you want to suggest one, write to us from the contact page.
